Privacy

850social is a free local guide to events, live music and places in Bay County, Florida. It is run by Flux Labs in Panama City, FL. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it. The short version: you can browse without an account, we only keep what we need to run the site, and we never sell your data.

Browsing

You don’t need an account to look around. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you. Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time to keep the site running and secure.

Accounts

Venue owners, bands and DJs can sign in. When you do, we keep:

• Your email address. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, also your name and profile photo, which we update each time you sign in.
• A sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in. It’s only used for that.
• The venues you manage and the events you add or edit.

When you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we only ask for your name, email and profile photo. We don’t post anything for you and don’t see your friends, other photos or other account data.

Venue claims and event posts

If you claim a venue, we keep the name, phone number, role and any note you give us, so a person can check that you work there. If you post an event, we keep the email you give us so we can ask about it. We only use these to review your request.

Song requests and tips

You don’t need an account to request a song. We keep the song, the name and shout-out you type, and scrambled codes made from your connection and from a small cookie on your phone, so one phone can’t flood the list. The codes can’t be turned back into your IP address. Requests are deleted after 30 days. Tip buttons open Venmo, Cash App or PayPal directly. We never see or handle the payment.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal data, and we don’t use it for ads. We use a few services to run the site:

• Supabase stores accounts and site data and sends sign-in emails.
• Vercel hosts the site.
• Google, Apple and Facebook handle sign-in when you choose them.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Your choices

You can delete your account and its data at any time. See deleting your data. You can also email hello@850social.com to see, fix or delete what we have.

850social is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
